Original Story Here – Five injured in head-on collision, Sebokeng
One woman was killed and four others injured yesterday morning after a head-on collision between two light motor vehicles on the Golden Highway in Sebokeng .
ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene and found one vehicle in the middle of the road while the second was found on the side of the road.
On inspection, paramedics found three occupants in the first vehicle and three in the second vehicle.
Paramedics assessed the occupants of the first vehicle and found a woman lying motionless in the rear of the vehicle, showing no signs of life.
Unfortunately, nothing could be done for the patient and she was declared dead on the scene.
On further inspection, paramedics found two men lying trapped in the front of the vehicle. Rescue services had to use the jaws-of-life to extricate both patients from the vehicle. Once freed, paramedics found that both men were seriously injured.
Three other occupants in the second vehicle were assessed and found to have sustained only minor injuries.
Paramedics treated the patients and provided the seriously injured patients with advanced life support interventions.
Once treated, all the patients were transported to Sebokeng Hospital for urgent treatment.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
