The rapper Mac Miller has died by the age of 26, his family have confirmed. The LA county coroner’s office said he’d was found unresponsive in his house in the Studio City neighborhood. Variety reported he’d died of an alleged overdose.
Miller’s family said that the rapper was dead on Friday, but gave no further specifics. Miller, born Malcolm James McCormick, had been open about his battles with substance abuse.
In August, LA police charged the rapper with driving under the influence after he crashed his car into a power station in May.
