At least 18 injured in bus collision

At least 18 people were left injured after a collision between a bus and a truck. The collision occurred last night on the Groblersbrug Road in Lephalale, Limpopo. Allegedly, the truck driver lost control of his vehicle and drifted into the oncoming lane heading towards the bus. The bus driver then apparently swerved out to avoid a head on collision. The truck seemed to have collided with the side of the bus.

When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found that most of the passengers of the bus had already exited the vehicle. After assessment it was found that all the injuries that were sustained ranged from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no critical injuries were sustained. ER24 treated and transported two patients to Mediclinic Lephalale for further treatment. The remaining patients were treated and transported by other services on scene.

The cause of the collision remains unknown, local authorities were on scene for further investigation.
