Alleged serial rapist back in Cape Town court

An alleged serial rapist is expected to appear in the Bellville Magistrate’s Court on Thursday to face 23 charges of rape allegedly committed in Delft and Khayelitsha.

Sikhangele Mki was arrested after a five-year investigation.

Mki has been positively linked to the 23 cases through DNA evidence collected by the police’s forensics lab, according to the charge sheet.

He was arrested at his work in the Epping area after the police’s Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences provincial task team completed its five-year investigation.
