Taxi crashes into light pole injuring nine in Durban

Nine people were left injured this morning when ta xi crashed into a lightpole on North Coast Road in Durban, KwaZulu Natal.

ER24 paramedics, along with various other services, arrived on the scene and found the taxi parked onto of a roadside barrier and lightpole. Several passengers from the taxi had already climbed out of the vehicle.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found that nine had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported on the scene.

The patients were treated for their injuries and thereafter transported to various hospitals, including Addington Hospital.

The exact cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
