Pedestrian left in critical condition in Sandton

A pedestrian, believed to be in his late forties, was found with critical injuries in Sandton this morning.

Shortly after 4am paramedics from ER24 were flagged down my Metro Police officials near Marie Street and Sandton Drive. Upon assessment, they found that a man was hit by a truck. He was in a critical condition. Paramedics treated him for various injuries, including possible head and chest injuries.

He was stabilised on scene and rushed to Charlotte Maxeke Hospital in Johannesburg for further care. The exact circumstances surrounding the incident is not yet known.
