Pedestrian killed on N2, Cape Town

A pedestrian, believed to be in his late twenties, was killed in a collision on the N2 near Jakes Gerwel, Cape Town.

At approximately 9pm paramedics from ER24, Life Healthcare and Metro Emergency Services arrived on the scene where they found the pedestrian lying in the road. The man sustained multiple fatal injuries and was declared dead on the scene.

The driver of the vehicle, believed to be in his early thirties, was found on the scene with only minor injuries. He was assessed by paramedics on the scene.

Local authorities attended the scene and will investigate.
