Government calls for calm in Tshwane

TSHWANE – Government is calling on residents of Tshwane to remain calm.

In the wake of overnight protests in parts of the capital, government says the current levels of violence are uncalled for.

In a statement, it says there’s no issue which can’t be resolved through democratic processes and dialogue.

It warns that law enforcement agencies will not tolerate violence, damage to property and infringing the rights and free movement of others.

It said perpetrators will face the full might of the law.
